Rapid Detox – Breaking Dangerous Dependencies

What is Rapid Detox?

Rapid detox presents an alternative to ridding people of drug dependency. Although costs can be pretty steep –anywhere from $8,000 to $15,000 – people often find the quick results compared to other detoxification methods to be worth it.

Rapid detox shortens the more painful traditional methods of rehabilitation, which can be anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks, to as little as 4 to 6 hours. In rapid detox, the patient is placed under anesthesia. While asleep, doctors introduce medications designed to flush out active opiates from the patient's opiate receptor sites.

The detoxification process requires a licensed Anesthesiologist. There may be other requirements that your healthcare provider must meet, so it is best to consulat with your primary medical professional in the first instance.

Other medications are administered in order to block the brain cells’ need for opiates. The patient is often given sedatives to sleep through the night. By the following day or two, most patients can go back to their ‘normal’ lives and put whatever drug addiction they may have had in the past. Continued monitoring is also recommended.

Rapid detox is also known as Anesthesia Assisted Rapid Opiate Detoxification, Rapid Opiate Detox, and Ultra Rapid Opiate Detoxification.
